Workshop Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation by You
We completely understand — sometimes life happens! Just reach out — we’re always happy to help.
Cancellations must be made in writing by email to chris@pellowceramics.co.uk
-
Cancel at least 48 hours before: You’ll get a full refund or can move your booking to another date.
-
Less than 48 hours / no-show: Since we’ve already prepared the materials we are not able to offer a refund or reschedule. Alternatively, you can have someone else to take your place on your behalf.

Cancellation by Us

-
We reserve the right to cancel or make changes to any workshops or one-off sessions.
-
If we cancel your course or session for any reason, we will do our best to organise an alternative date within a reasonable period of time. If this is not possible, or you are unable to attend an alternative date, we will refund the full purchase price.
-
Pellow Ceramics reserves the right to cancel a course up to and including the date of the workshop if insufficient bookings have been received and will strive to give as much notice of this as possible.
-
Pellow Ceramics will not be held liable for any other costs or expenses that you may incur in the event of cancellation by us.

Health and Safety

Participants of our workshops do so at their own risk, are asked to behave in a courteous manner to fellow participants, and to comply with instructions provided by Pellow Ceramics to ensure the highest level of health and safety is maintained wherever possible. Pellow Ceramics has the right to exclude participants for inappropriate or dangerous behaviour without refunding their workshop fees.
Casual clothing or aprons are recommended.
Participants are asked to clear and clean their own work area before the end of the workshop. The final 10 minutes will be dedicated to clearing up.
Technical issues and breakages
Only Chris or Ian will handle and fire your ceramic work. However, by the nature of ceramics there is always a risk of pieces which break during the firing process or do not look as expected e.g. become misshapen during the firing for which we cannot be held responsible.

Photos
From time to time Pellow Ceramics will take photos of participants and their creations. These photos may be used for promotional purposes on our Website and social media platforms. We will always seek permission from the workshop participants before doing so. Please do the same if you are taking pictures yourself.

Collection of Works
You will be emailed when your pieces are ready for collection, usually this is within 2 weeks after the last session, but this can take longer depending on our kiln firing scheduling.
We recommend you collect your finished work as soon as possible once you have received the pickup instructions via email to help keep our storage area clear, therefore avoiding damage.
If finished ceramic work is not collected within 1 month of the pick up email being sent out, we will sadly have to dispose of it due to space issues, this is detailed in the pick up email. Alternatively you can organise for your pots to be sent to you at an additional cost.
